Healthy nutrition

Eating healthy is not just a fashion trend. Nutrition has a direct impact on our health and well-being. Do you want to know where to start with healthy nutrition and how to improve your diet? Read on.
Where to start with healthy eating?

Eating healthy is the first step to improving your health and boosting your energy levels. Here are some tips to help you get started on this journey:
A balanced diet
Eat a balanced diet that contains the right amount of protein, carbohydrates, and fats for your activity and goals. This can be weight loss, weight maintenance, or weight gain.
Proteins are nutrients that are essential for cell growth and repair, as well as for the proper functioning of the body. The amount of protein in grams should be equal to your weight multiplied by 3.
Fats are complex molecules that are necessary for energy, cell growth and development, and organ protection. The amount of fat is calculated in the same way as protein. It should be at least 35 grams per day.
Carbohydrates are fuel for our body, as they are the main source of energy. The amount of carbohydrates is calculated by the formula: 3 g of carbohydrates per 1 kg of weight.
Variety in the diet
Your diet should be varied. A healthy diet includes whole grains, meat, eggs, or fish, low-glycemic cereals, vegetables, fruits, legumes, nuts, and dairy products. A varied diet ensures that you get all the necessary nutrients, vitamins, and minerals.

Eating schedule
Follow a regular diet. This means that you have a set schedule of meals, such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, and possibly additional snacks throughout the day. Consult your doctor about snacking, as it is not suitable for some people. Do not skip meals to avoid excessive hunger.
A schedule keeps your meals organized, helps you control the number of calories you consume, and prevents you from overeating.
Limit sugar consumption
The World Health Organization recommends reducing sugar consumption to 5–10% of the total calories consumed during the day.
For an average adult, this means no more than 50 g (or 10 teaspoons) of sugar per day.
Healthy eating is the key to good health and well-being. Adopt a mindful approach to your diet, and you’ll experience consistent mood, strength, and energy every day.
